Unforgettable experiences are everywhere in Vietnam. Vietnam is a Southeast Asian country on the South China Sea known for its beaches, rivers, Buddhist pagodas and bustling cities. The capital Hanoi, is located in the north, while the country’s largest city, Ho Chi Minh City  (formerly Saigon), is in the south.

DAY 1             HANOI ARRIVAL

Upon you arrive Hanoi, our guide will give you a warm welcome at the airport and take you to hotel. As the capital of Vietnam for almost a thousand years, Hanoi is considered as the cultural centre of Vietnam, where every dynasty left their imprint behind.

DAY 2             HANOI CITY TOUR (B)

After breakfast at hotel.08:00am:  join with tour guide for a full day city tour. Tour starts with Ho Chi Minh complex: Ho Chi Minh mausoleum, stilt house (Viewed from outside; closed Mon and Fri and from Oct-Nov), Ba Dinh square, One Pillar pagoda. Continue trip to Hoa Lo Prison, once called “Hell in the Earth”, which was used by the French colonists to sentence Vietnamese political prisoners.

In the afternoon, visit Temple of Literature, which is well known as the first university of Vietnam. Then visit the peaceful lake of Hoan Kiem with Ngoc Son temple and take a cyclo around Hanoi Old Quarter.

DAY 3               HANOI – HALONG – OVERNIGHT ON CRUISE (B/L/D)

Below is the itinerary of Oriental Sails Cruise.

08:00 – 08:30 Pick-up at hotel and start 3 hour-and-a-half drive to Halong International Cruise Port, check in Oriental Sails JSC’s private waiting hall – The OS Lounge.

12:15 – 12:45 Embark on Oriental Sails by transfer boat. Listen to cruise briefing and receive room key.

13:00 – 15:30 Savor a delectable lunch as Oriental Sails cruises further along the limestone islands of Bai Tu Long Bay, heading to Vung Vieng fishing village – one of the largest fishing villages in Halong Bay to see the life of local fishermen.

– Option 1: Take a bamboo rowing boat trip around Vung Vieng Fishing Village

– Option 2: Take kayak and go kayaking by yourself with help and instruction of tour guide around the Village.

17:30 – 18:00 Return to Oriental Sails and have bath then relax as the sun starts to set.  Enjoy the Happy Hour at the bar and on the sun deck while cooking demonstration is organizing.

19:00 – 19:30 Dinner is served. Socialize with other guests, night squid fishing or just laze around. Singing and dancing activities are available till 22h00.

DAY 4                        HALONG – HANOI (B/BR)

06:30 – 07:00 Start your day with Tai Chi exercise on the sundeck.

07:00 – 09:00 Catch morning view of seascapes with a cup of tea or coffee, have breakfast while cruising toward Thien Canh Son Cave. Visit Thien Canh Son Cave – the medium size and less visited cave in Bai Tu Long Bay

09:30 Check-out room. Luggage can be delivered to the reception area.

09:30 – 11:00 Head back to the Harbor. Have early lunch on board. Disembark Oriental Sails at around 12h00.

12:00 – 16:30 Transfer back to Hanoi and trip finishes at the hotel around 16h30

DAY 5             HANOI – FLIGHT TO SAIGON (B)

Be free until our guide and driver take you to the airport for flight to Saigon.

DAY 6             CU CHI TUNNELS – HALF DAY CITY TOUR (B)

Cu Chi Tunnels is now a popular spot for both Vietnamese & foreign tourists – the network of over 200km of tunnels became legendary when they played a vital role in the War. In their heyday, the tunnels were functioning underground cities including numerous trap doors, specially constructed living areas, storage facilities, weapons factories, field hospitals, command centers & kitchens.

Start our tour in the morning, before entering the tunnels visitors can watch a short introductory video showing how the tunnels were constructed. You will spend the next hour exploring the tunnels. Afterwards, enjoy tea, cassava (guerrilla’s food during the war).

In the afternoon, you will begin your urban experience in bustling Saigon, the country’s commercial center and home to a growing number of upscale shops. Visit the Reunification Palace, the Opera House and the Hotel de Ville and the War Remnants Museum. Then visit Ben Thanh market before ending this day.

DAY 7             MEKONG DELTA (B/L)

Depart at 8:00am from the southern economic hub of Ho Chi Minh City to the area referred locally as “the rice bowl of Vietnam”.

Upon arrival at My Tho, cruising along small creek to Mekong River estuary, to Con Phung (Phoenix Island). The motorized boat cruise more along natural creeks and quiet village in Ben Tre Province. En-route visit a small factory producing handicrafts made of coconut. Visit orchards, bee – keeping farm, taste natural honey and honey wine, enjoy tropical fruit, traditional music, see round a distillery, explore the local coconut candy production process, taste candy & coconut pulp.

Come back Saigon. Overnight in Saigon

DAY 8           SAIGON – DEPARTURE (B)

Breakfast at the hotel. Transfer to airport for departure flight to delhi
